Robyn Nohling FNP, RDN, LDN, MSN
Robyn’s own health journey with disordered eating, hypothalamic amenorrhea and hypothyroidism has been the catalyst to her career focused on women's health through a non diet approach. As both a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Dietitian, Robyn specializes in helping women heal from hormone & reproductive health issues.
In addition to working one on one with women, she also offers online courses and mentoring for aspiring and current health professionals who want to discover their own passions and find meaning and purpose in their work. Her career began with the mission of helping women heal physically while also healing their relationship with food, exercise, and their body. More recently. she has discovered her passion for helping women for teaching and mentoring other health professionals and students on how to effectively provide healthcare to women through a Health At Every Size and Intuitive Eating lens. In 2017, she opened an online learning center to bridge these two passions of caring for women and teaching other professionals. Whether she's counseling, nursing, mentoring or teaching, Robyn cultivates an environment that is safe, nurturing, non-judgemental and full of compassion.
Robyn is a dietitian first and nurse practitioner second. After practicing for 2 years as a dietitian in Virginia, her desire to help women beyond food led her to New York City to pursue a career in nursing. She attended Columbia University where she earned both her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and later on her Masters of Science in Nursing. Her time at Columbia was challenging and enriching and equipped her with the knowledge, skills and tools to provide comprehensive healthcare to women of all life stages. She now combines her nutrition background with her nursing education to provide compassionate, empathetic and evidence based healthcare to women throughout all life stages.
Robyn's practice is rooted in a weight neutral, non diet approach where she helps women identify and tune out diet culture so they can instead turn into their body's inner wisdom and internal cues to discover true health and healing. Her approach centers around changing behaviors instead of numbers and empowering women to care for their whole self. She firmly believes health goes far beyond your plate and exercise routine and that one's emotional and mental health greatly impacts one's physical health.
Robyn is board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and licensed in Virginia, New York and Massachusetts as a nurse practitioner in addition to being licensed as a registered dietitian in Virginia and Massachusetts. She is an active member of the Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health (NPWH) organization and stays current with the most up to date literature.
When she's not working with women or behind the screen, whats she enjoys most is being outside with her family, gathering people around her kitchen table for good food and wine and eating her way through new places. Her first son was born in December 2018 and her second baby boy came along 19 months later. Life is anything but boring!
What Robyn enjoys most about her work is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with women and witness them make powerful changes in their lives. After 10 years of hypothalamic amenorrhea, her journey into motherhood with the birth of her first son not only transformed her personally, but fostered an even greater desire to provide evidence based care for women trying to conceive, walking through pregnancy and navigating breastfeeding & the postpartum days. Every woman deserves respectful, compassionate care - what a difference it would make for mothers & babies if they received the support & knowledge they truly need.
